Choir makes music count
Choir makes music count

O’Connor Primary School students, under the direction of performing arts teacher Jo Talbot, recently took part in Australia’s biggest school initiative.

Music Count Us In has support from the Australian Government and has been running in schools across Australia since 2007.

O’Connor has been participating in this program since 2008.

It is all about celebrating the value of music education.

More than 600,000 students, teachers and often parents from schools all over Australia learn, rehearse and then perform the same song, on the same day, at the same time.

O’Connor choir members from the junior and senior school led the rest of the school in the song Different People (Stand Together), written by John Forman, together with Years 10 and 12 students from NSW and Victoria.
