Kambalda prove too good

Kambalda continued their impressive start to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Cricket Association season with a comfortable seven-wicket victory over North Kalgoorlie on the weekend.

A five-wicket haul from Kambalda’s Gary Miller helped set up the win as North Kalgoorlie’s opening batsmen fell quickly.

Miller had figures of 3-4 early in the match and took the first four wickets of the game.

Stuart Denman also chimed in with four wickets.

Meshek White battled valiantly for the losing side with 24 runs. Chasing a target of 103, Kambalda batted strongly with Jackson Cooper (24) and Wayne Little (38 not out) making a solid start.

Brad Tinker top-scored for the match with 41 as Kambalda chased down the total from 22 overs. Kambalda remain undefeated so far this season.
