Junior basketball heats up

Tight games were the main theme in the latest round of boys’ primary school basketball fixtures played this week.

In Year 4 boys’ matches, Kalgoorlie and St Mary’s (2) played out a 12-all draw while St Joseph’s and North Kalgoorlie (1) could not be separated on 14 points apiece.

Boulder and St Mary’s also shared the points in Year 3 action, tying 2-all.

Victories in all girls’ matches were much more convincing, with only the junior contest between Baptist College and St Mary’s (2) going down to the wire.

Baptist College won 22-20.
