Tournament set to inspire juniors
Tournament set to inspire juniors

Goldfields-born golf course designer Graham Marsh hopes this week's $110,000 WA Goldfields PGA Championship will inspire a new generation of local golfers.

Playing the back nine of the local course he designed, Marsh yesterday said junior golfers in the region now have an opportunity to play on a world-class course.

“If kids play on a course like this it can only help improve their game,” Marsh said.

“I understand there are a number of juniors coming through the ranks at the moment. It is good to see and hopefully this tournament will get a few more kids involved.”

One of WA’s most successful golf exports, Marsh said he would not be playing in this week’s tournament.
