Seventh heaven for CBC women
Seventh heaven for CBC women

CBC coach Bruce Puckett has paid tribute to his side’s mix of youth and experience after they secured their seventh consecutive Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association title in A1 women’s action on Saturday.

The 3-0 victory over Pegasus capped off a remarkable undefeated campaign for CBC, in which they conceded less than 10 goals for the season.

The win also handed CBC their 12th A1 women’s premiership.

“I could not be more proud of them to be honest,” Puckett said.

“They try to improve and I try to improve them.

“What I have tried to get them to do is to think on their feet. They have been doing that and they are well-drilled, they know our game plan and they execute."
