Bankwest hits the streets for RFDS
Bankwest hits the streets for RFDS

Fun activities were held on Wednesday as Bankwest tried to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Kalgoorlie store manager Jane Young said the day was all about supporting the community.

“We are very proud to be involved and sponsor the RFDS,” she said.

“We are here to support the community and support an organisation that supports regional WA.”

Ms Young said the bank hoped to raise as much as $7000 over the course of the day.

She said the high costs of a service like the RFDS had driven the bank to hold the fundraising activities. One of the highlights of the day was the appearance of Gary the Bankwest Squirrel during an appearance at Kalgoorlie Primary School in the morning.
