Spring has sprung in Karlkurla Bushland Park and the wildflowers are in full bloom.

About 30 people participated in the “Spring in your step” walk on Friday morning to celebrate the start of warmer weather.

The walk was a community partnership between Kalgoorlie-Boulder Urban Landcare Group and the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre.

Centre co-ordinator Gloria Moyle said the walk was an initiative to get people in the community up and about and moving in the fresh spring air.

“It was also to learn about our local environment while exercising,” Ms Moyle said.

KBULG co-ordinator David Gleeson says the event was about spring, health and happiness.
