End of an era for Boulder News

This week will mark the end of an era at the Boulder Newsagency with long time owners Bill and Paula Brown retiring.

The couple are heading to Tasmania to live a quieter life after they sold the store.

The couple have owned the store since 2000 and while they are happy to be retiring, Ms Brown admitted it was sad to think this was their last week with the business.

“Our customers are like our friends, we all get along and we all know each other, it has been good,” Mr Brown said.

“We have our customers come in here and apologise because they were in town with their sister and they decided to buy a lotto ticket, but they bought in on Hannan Street.

“They are really good and really loyal.”
