Three Aussie bands are set to rock the Goldfields Oasis as part of the Red Dirt rock concert.
No stranger to the charts, Birds of Tokyo will headline the concert alongside recent Kalgoorlie performers British India with Perth band Hostile Little Face supporting.
The concert is sure to rock the Race Round, taking place the night before the Kalgoorlie Cup. Discover the Round committee member Sam Bowler said the Red Dirt rock concert was something locals were sure to love.
“These are great live bands they’ll put on a massive performance and they will have the crowds jumping up and down and running amok,” Mr Bowler said.
“We wanted to give a local act the chance to play with these sorts of bands and two of the guys from Hostile Little Face are from Kalgoorlie and they can’t wait to get back and play in front of the Kalgoorlie crowd.
“The name Red Dirt is synonymous with Kalgoorlie, it’s something that’s really distinctive about the region and something that’s hopefully a bit fresh and has a bit of the rocky feel to it.”
The concert will be held at the Goldfields Oasis basketball stadium on September 21. Tickets are on sale for $80 and can be purchased at www.ticketbooth.com.au.
