Comedy basics sure to get laughs
Comedy basics sure to get laughs

Are you looking for a great fun night out this weekend that won’t break your budget? Then look no further.

The Comedy Hour is heading Back to Basics to bring you a big budget night of new and favourite local comedy, tonight and tomorrow night. Despite it being named a budget show, it is sure to be a fun night out and a great way to support local talent.

The Comedy Hour founder and local comedian Julian Canny said the show was to help fund the Goldfields Comedy Gala.

“Basically the point is we are scraping the barrel for money, so we’re having an all local show because we’ve been having a little too much fun,” Mr Canny said. “We’ve been a bit silly and had lots of big good comedians coming in with acts, so we’re going back to an all basics local show.

“All the money we’ve got we have put into our gala show, so the reason we’re having a local show is so we can really go all out and spend lots of money on putting on a really good show for people.”

The Back to Basics show will be held tonight and tomorrow night at 151 Hannan Street. Doors open at 6.30pm, live music starts at 7pm and the show will start at 8pm. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Goldfields Arts Centre or online at www.goldfieldsartscentre.com.au.
