With Daffodil Day just around the corner, the Cancer Council is looking for volunteers to help raise funds by selling daffodils and merchandise on Friday, August 24.
Goldfields Find Cancer Early project officer Pam Foulkes-Taylor said she would love to hear from those interested in helping as soon as possible.
“I will be in St Barbara’s Square from 9am to noon with fresh daffodils and Daffodil Day merchandise on the day, ” she said.
“It would be great to have volunteers to help on the day, or take some daffodils to sell, anything would be great and I’ll be happy to hear from anyone who has an interest in helping in some way.
“I’d also love someone in Kambalda and to do Hannans Boulevard if they are keen.”
Ms Foulkes-Taylor said funds raised would help the Cancer Council continue its work in cancer research and provide patient support and prevention programs to all Australians.
“Each day more than 100 Australians will die of cancer,” she said. Those interested in volunteering can contact Pam Foulkes-Taylor on 9022 5669 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
