Sun to set on Solar Centre
Sun to set on Solar Centre

Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents will have to start looking elsewhere for their beauty needs with local business Solar Centre closing its doors at the end of this month.

After taking over the business 10 years ago, Jan Patu said she was sad to be giving it up, but knows she is making the right decision.

Ms Patu said she had been dealing with an ongoing illness for the past 18 months and it had got more difficult for her to look after her clients.

“I have been very lucky I have had great staff, but it has got to the point where staff are moving on and I have been relying on my daughter to help me, but she has had a baby and it is just getting too hard for me,” she said.

“Something happened last week and I believe it happened for a reason and I made the decision.”
