A 16-year-old boy missing for more than 24 hours has sparked a police search near Wiluna.

The boy was last seen in the town around 5pm Tuesday.

Police were yesterday unsure whether he was in the town, on the community’s outskirts or had hitched a ride to another area.

A full scale search, including by air, was under way yesterday afternoon. The boy is described as dark-skinned, 180cm tall with a slim build.

He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing camouflage cargo pants, a grey T-shirt, blue beanie and sneakers.

Anyone who has seen him should call police on 131 444.
