Year 3 and 4 children from rooms 8 and 10 visited Boulder to find out more about the shops and businesses in the community.
In the afternoon they prepared themselves to set off to Boulder to find out information from the business owners. On the way, the classes drew pictures of the shops and buildings.
Some of the shops they visited included Santamaria’s, the post office, The Little Boulder Sweet Shop and Goldfields Commercial Security.
The children went in small groups into the shops and asked some questions.
“I would improve Boulder by having more police presence,” a worker from the Salvation Army Op Shop said. “It was a brilliant trip,” Jailan Thompson, a Year 4 student, said.
