Rick rocks students on border patrol

The first-ever regional West Coast Eagles and Toyota WA border patrol visited primary schools throughout the Esperance region last week.

The eight-member group, including Eagles legend Ross Glendinning and mascot Rick the Rock, talked about fun, friendship and football.

Team member Simon Eissen said they also talked about the Eagles’ Rock My School program which is about respect and values.

“We talk to the kids about respecting themselves, their mates and their school and how to behave properly for teachers and parents,” Mr Eissen said.

Year 6 and 7 students from Castletown Primary School were also put through their paces in a light-hearted training session.
