A dream come true
A dream come true

A Goldfields girl is living her dream thanks to a school-based traineeship.

Shanae Sylva, 15, is undertaking the traineeship with Directions Kalgoorlie and host employer Kalgoorlie Tours and Charters.

“It is what I want as a career,” she said.

“I want to travel and want to experience other things and help people travel around.”

Ms Sylva has been working at the store on Hannan Street for the past three months while also attending school at Eastern Goldfields College.

The Year 11 student began a certificate II in business in February this year.
