The Goldfields Arts Centre will be re-shuffling rooms due to the temporary closure of its A-class art gallery for the rest of 2012.
The International School of Music will be moving from the function room into the art gallery, to allow for the bookings for the second half of the year to go ahead.
Local art works will still fill the centre’s walls in the foyer area while the gallery is closed, so there will still be plenty for people to come and enjoy.
Arts centre manager Donna Malec said the decision had been made with sincere apologies.
“We didn’t want this to happen, but under the circumstances we believe hiring the gallery space out will benefit the centre more, and will give us the income to plan exhibitions for next year,” Ms Malec said.
“Although we have no more exhibitions this year, we will be gaining the time we need to sort out the future of the gallery."
