Record effort by Hulme
Record effort by Hulme

Goldfields Giants veteran Ryan Hulme is now the club’s current games record holder after playing his 367th State Basketball League match against Lakeside Lightning on Saturday.

Hulme overtook previous record holder Leon Williamson, who played 366 games for the Giants, and will only add to his tally as the season progresses.

However, Hulme remains unsure if he will continue after this season.

“I’m just going one year at a time for the moment,” Hulme said.

“I don’t want to look too far ahead as the body is getting a bit older now.

“I have played a fair few games with a lot of running around on a hard surface, so I am just taking it one game at a time at the minute.”
