Cycle tour with a difference
Cycle tour with a difference

A cycle tour of Belgium is a different way to experience a European vacation.

Yet that is just what a couple of Kalgoorlie-Boulder men have decided to spend a week doing.

Jason Wells and Charles Dalton, a chiropractor and a computer business owner, will join four friends riding from Brussels to Bruges.

As the crow flies, it is only 87km, but the route is a winding self-guided tour with between 35 and 60km ridden each day.

“We chose Belgium because the tour sounded great and it was somewhere none of us knew much about,” Mr Wells said.

“Also it is relatively flat and there’s plenty of interesting towns fairly close.

“Once it is over most of us will spend some more time having a look around.”
