It's time for the end of the year finale for Stage Left Acting Youth and everyone is invited along.
The talented members of SLAY, aged from eight to 16 will be strutting their stuff on Sunday and performing a range of items learned during regular workshops facilitated by Stage Left president Lisa van Oyen and vice president Kevin Blair.
Some Slay members had honed their singing skills with Stage Left vocalist Kerryn Lockhart while the younger ones had been working with puppets as part of their workshop training during 2011, she said.
The evening will include a puppet show, as presented during the International Day of Persons with Disability celebrations recently.
“The kids will be performing a cross-section of things including acting, theatre sports, improvisation and movement; I think the audience will be pleasantly surprised at their depth of talent and ability,” Ms van Oyen said.
“It is particularly exciting for us to see some of the kids doing Shakespeare monologues and their abilities are amazing,” she said.
