Kalgoorlie-Boulder fashionistas turned out in style on Saturday afternoon to attend Fossick Handmade’s My Name is Lola fashion show.
Launching Melbourne designer Chitra Mangma’s spring/summer 2012 collection, local models took to the runway in vibrant vintage inspired dresses, skirts, blouses and trousers.
About 130 ladies sipped on champagne and punch and nibbled on chocolate-dipped strawberries and tropical fruit before taking in the beautiful feminine creations from Chitra’s Closet on the runway.
Part owner at Fossick Handmade Paula Fletcher said the afternoon was a complete success.
“It was just fabulous,” Ms Fletcher said. “It was the hottest day ever but we had such a great turnout and it was just wonderful to hear the audience gasp when the models came out.
“I think we hit a niche that really needed to be filled.”
