Missing boy found safe and well

Macka Darin Couzner

UPDATE: A 12-year-old Geraldton boy missing since 6pm on Monday has been found safe and well.

Police said Macka Darin Couzner had been staying at a neighbouring property.

The boy's older sister Jess Couzner said it was very much out of character for Macka not to keep in touch with his friends and family.

“He’s also scared of the dark and wasn’t wearing warm clothes when he left home, so this has made us particularly concerned,” Ms Couzner said.

“His dad passed away a few years ago and he was pretty traumatised by that, and Mum’s in a bad way worrying about him.”

Ms Couzner said nothing like this had happened before.

“Macka always knew to get home by a certain time, and he was scared of the dark,” she said.

“He also liked his breakfast, so he was always up early and looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, police have confirmed a 15-year-old girl also reported missing has been located safe and well, and is back with her family.

Briana Scarff left in a white utility with red P plates and was known to be heading to Perth.

Her mother used social media to find her whereabouts.
