French tourist dies in van rollover
A French tourist died when a Toyota Hiace van crashed south of the Billabong Roadhouse yesterday afternoon.
Police said the 28-year-old man was sleeping unrestrained in the back of the van when it rolled over about 2.15pm, 11km south of the roadhouse.
The driver, a 24-year-old French woman, was taken to Geraldton Hospital with minor injuries.
Police said the van was travelling north on the North West Coastal Highway, when it drifted into the gravel shoulder, overcorrected and rolled.
