Cops quiz wife in murder probe

A woman being questioned over the suspected murder of her husband in Geraldton had allegedly told people she was a victim of domestic violence.

Homicide detectives spent a second day questioning the Geraldton doctor after police found her 34-year-old partner with fatal head injuries in a bedroom at their home.

The woman had called emergency services to the Shenton Street home on Tuesday morning. Forensic officers were still at the rented home yesterday.

It is understood authorities were last night still struggling to contact the man's overseas-based relatives.

Colleagues told Seven News yesterday they often saw the pair at lunch together at work.
