A large quantity of undersize crayfish was seized by Geraldton police during a vehicle stop in Rangeway early this morning.

Police said a Hyundai car, allegedly driven by a 24-year-old Mullewa man, was stopped in relation to a traffic matter about 2.15am.

A total of 29 undersize crayfish were found inside the vehicle, police allege.

Police said the man was charged with driving in excess of 0.05 alcohol, no driver’s licence and breach of bail.

The man could also face prosecution by the Department of Fisheries and was this morning interviewed by department officials, police said.
