Blower-vacuum soccer and stunt kite flying are just two of the many activities a group of local scouts will enjoy when they travel to Queensland this week.

Nine scouts, together with leader Joanne Dewers, are set to attend the 2013 “Dream It, Live It” Australian Scout Jamboree.

Held every three years, the event will see 1st Geraldton Scout Group representatives join more than 11,000 scouts and leaders for 10 action-packed days.

The 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree promises adventure, challenge, fun and excitement, together with the opportunity to develop team, leadership and endurance skills.

Ms Dewers said the group was excited to embark on the adventure after 12 months preparation.
