Iconic image sparks social media frenzy
Windswept: Photographer Richard Rossiter's new take on a Greenough icon has taken the Guardian's facebook page by storm.

An arresting image of Greenough’s iconic leaning tree has attracted a flurry of interest since it was posted a week ago on the Guardian’s facebook page.

The night photo was taken by Guardian contributing photographer Richard Rossiter on November 22 as a storm lashed the region.

It shows the tree bathed in light and with the orange hue of Geraldton’s lights in the distance.

More than 1200 people have “liked” the image since Mr Rossiter posted it.
