Wife holds 'lying, cheating husband sale'

A Canadian woman has accused her husband of leaving her for a "piece of trash" and put all his possessions up for sale while he was on a weekend away with his mistress.

The woman in White Rock, British Columbia, who had been married for 10 years, detailed her intentions in an advertisement posted online.

"Selling everything while he is gone this weekend with his floozie," the ad said.

She advertised that the sale would offer items like appliances, tools her husband didn’t know how to use, and his favorite red leather sofas, the New York Daily News reported.

The woman posted the ad on Craigslist inviting bargain hunters and potential homebuyers to her “lying cheating sale”.

"I want the house empty on Monday when he returns because that will be a shock for him to see. So come pick out what you would like Saturday and Sunday at 8am," the ad said.

"Don't come too early because I will be throroughly enjoying some wine with my girlfriends this evening as we clean out all this stuff and likely be nursing hangovers in the morning. So please speak softly to the ladies wearing the sunglasses."

Despite the house-wide sale, the woman said none of her husband's clothes would be sold.

"There are not any of his clothes for sale though as we will have already burned those in the driveway.

"However, you can see the ashes of his clothes that he is going to see, for no additional charge."

The woman advertised that she was selling everything from household appliances to speakers — to the tools that her husband "didn’t have a clue how to use."

The sale was held at the woman’s ocean-view home on March 9 and 10.

The Province said they swung by the sale on March 9, and it was indeed happening. The lady running it, however, would not speak to them on the record.
