Major crash police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Mt Lawley yesterday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious multi-car crash on Guildford Road, Mt Lawley, yesterday morning which left several people injured.

Police said a Diahatsu Charade carrying six people collided with the rear of a Holden Astra near the intersection of Elsemere Road about 11.40am.

The force of the crash sent the two cars into the path of oncoming traffic where a Nissan Pulsar which has hit both cars.

Police said one passenger who had been sitting in the lap of another passenger in the front seat of the Diahatsu was seriously injured while others in the car received moderate to minor injuries.

The occupants in the other cars were also injured.
