Geraldton Senior College graduate Chloe Hosking has earned a place in the exclusive "99 Club" with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 99.1.

Chloe placed in the top one per cent of students who sat examinations in four or more WA Certificate of Education subjects in 2012.

Officially released Monday, the outstanding result topped off a stellar year for Chloe, who was also awarded college dux and a State Government Best and Brightest award.

Chloe said she was "very surprised and very happy" with her ATAR of 99.1 after she exceeded her goal of a score between 95 and 90.

Chloe was home-schooled until Year 10, and said she learnt a lot from both her home and public school education.
