Events combine for festive fun

Preparations are getting underway for the staging of this year’s Christmas Pageant which will be held for the first time on the same day as the Lions Carols by Candlelight.

Shire of Esperance community services officer Rebecca Senior said the pageant had traditionally been held on a Thursday evening.

“This year the pageant will take place on Sunday, December 16, before the Lions Carols by Candlelight to deliver a day of community Christmas fun,” Mrs Senior said.

“This partnership to unite Esperance’s favourite community Christmas events will make a better community experience in the busy festive season.”

She said there would be lots of fun activities happening in the Museum Village between the finish of the pageant and start of the carols.

“The partnership between the Shire and the Lions club for this event will ensure it will be an event not to miss,” Mrs Senior said.
