Girl killed in Tasmanian car rollover

A four-year-old girl has died after being thrown from a car that rolled in Tasmania's south.

Police say a 33-year-old woman from New Norfolk was driving the car along Boyer Road at Boyer just after 6pm on Saturday when she failed to take a bend and lost control, causing the car to overturn and crash.

The four-year-old girl was thrown from the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.

Four teenage passengers in the car were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for observation but did not have to be admitted.
