Meares charged with drink driving

Jodhi Meares could face a stint in jail after allegedly being caught driving under the influence.

The model and former wife to James Packer was allegedly caught three times over the legal limit when she crashed into three parked cars on Saturday night, News Limited reported.

Meares surprisingly came out of the incident, which left her SUV on its side, unscathed.

She allegedly blew a breath test reading of 0.181, more than three times over the legal limit.

The alleged incident happened just after 9.30pm on O’Sullivan Rd, Bellevue Hill.

The 43-year-old was already on a suspended licence, and was taken to Waverley police station where she was charged with a high-level drinking offence and driving while suspended.

The maximum sentence for high-range drinking charges include 18 months in jail and a fine of $3300.

Meares will face court in August.
