Club Spec WRX here next month

A favourite of many West Wheels readers is Subaru's WRX, so a limited-edition Club Spec model should set hearts racing.

Just 300 will be available from August, with the colour choices being a hard-edged black or outrageous tangerine.

Helping the special WRX stand out from the crowd will be a Club Spec badge, STI spoiler, black-coated 17-inch alloy wheels and black door mirrors.

Inside, there's leather trim with red-stitching highlights on black cars and orange on the tangerines.

The limited-

edition model, which is available only as a manual sedan, will sell for $41,490 plus on-roads, which is a $1500 premium on a regular WRX.

Also available is an STI kit which provides a front lip under-spoiler, short-shift gear lever and a flexible tower bar, which aids handling.

The kit is usually $2100 but costs just $1000 on the Club Spec model.
