Tailored bedheads

We love this smart, sophisticated look from Melbourne’s Heatherly Design, which specialises in creating upholstered bedheads, beds and bedroom furniture.

The new Richmond bedhead is tailored in soft grey with beautiful detailing including buttoning and textured linen upholstery. The design was launched on the current series of The Block Triple Threat, which was filmed in Richmond — hence the name.

The bedhead costs $1240 or the full bed set costs from $2690 (queen). Heatherly Design was established in 2007 by interior designer Georgie Leckey, who started the company in her family's country woolshed with just three products before expanding to now offer more than 20 designs, from including fully upholstered beds and footstools to shoeboxes, bedroom chairs and coordinating valances.

“The beauty of what we offer our clients is exceptional quality locally made and designed to client’s specifications — we have created a niche in the market that more and more people are taking advantage of,” Ms Leckey said. “Anyone can buy a normal bed or bedhead, but having one made to your specifications is no longer a luxury.

We have really seen this type of personal service become more and more part of interior design and are amazed by how far and wide our bespoke service has gone with designs being delivered as far as Alice Springs and Perth.” See heatherlydesign.com.au for more information and to view the full range.
