'Impossible to resist': McDonald's Italy launches Nutella burger
McDonald’s has combined their trademark burger with the chocolatey goodness of Nutella – sending the internet into a meltdown over their latest food-coma-inducing creation.
The Nutella burger, don’t worry it doesn’t contain any meat, has been launched in McDonald’s restaurants around Italy and features a thick layer of the hazelnut spread sandwiched between two soft buns.
Named the ‘Sweety con Nutella’ in Italian, the treat quickly became a trending topic on Facebook after it’s launch.
Many Nutella fans were left disappointed after finding out the ‘burger’ wasn’t available in their home country.
“If it's only available in Italy, why would you show this to me,” one woman wrote.
“This just adds to the list of reasons to go to Italy,” another said.
“Bottom line is we can't have them and I have to stick to eating Nutella straight out of the jar with my fingers like a monster,” an American woman added.
The fast food giant described the Nutella burger as “an exclusive innovation that is really impossible to resist”.
It is not known if the Sweety will be making its way down under.
In September, the blue 'Mutant Burger' caused a frenzy after its release at Australian restaurant chain Ribs & Burgers.
The epic eat consisted of triple chilli, fried chicken and blue cheese sandwiched in an electric blue bun.
