RECIPE: Gula Melaka
Serves 2

1 cup sago (tapioca)
2 cups water
1 pandanus leaf
200ml coconut milk
5 tbsp brown sugar
200ml milk
pinch salt

Soak sago in some water for about 10 minutes, then drain. Heat water to boiling, add sago and pandanus leaf. Stir constantly to avoid sago sticking together. Cook until sago begins to turn transparent. Add the remainder of the ingredients. Continue to stir until pudding is bubbling, remove from stove and wait to cool before serving.
