Beer isn’t just about business. It is about having fun. For some brewers it is also about being funky.

The term is often used to describe Belgian beers. It could easily be applied to Brewcult.

The Victorian team loves a psychedelic label. A quick glance at a bottle can tease the eyes and send the mind back to the 1960s when conscious-expanding art was in vogue.

Now Brewcult is expanding our palates. They have a raft of various beer styles on the market and one fell from the sky on to The Sip’s desk earlier this week.

Fittingly the Outta Sight is a mind bender. And a taste bud teaser. It has the wheat and yeast elements of a Witbier yet still retains enough of the characteristics of an India Pale Ale.

Indeed, when it first hit the market debate raged whether Outta Sight was an IPA masquerading as a Wheat beer or a Witbier injected with an explosion of hops.

The White IPA comes in 500ml bottles but this one is tough to share because the drinker seems to find something new on every taste.

Mango and citrus give Outta Sight a great sweetness but the banana and spicy edge comes through as soon as the drink enters the mouth.

The tropical element follows through on the after-taste. The Galaxy, Citra and Amarillo provide that IPA characteristic.

Brewcult’s Steve “Hendo” Henderson has got the blend just right. And that gives the Outta Sight drinker peace of mind.
