Inspired to boost WA women's health

Newly married sportswear designer and netballer *Shae Brown *will join a group of inspiring mums, entrepreneurs and businesswomen to celebrate holistic health at the Inspire Women's Health and Fitness brunch on Sunday.

The *West Coast Fever *player married *West Coast Eagle *ace *Mitch Brown *on New Year's Eve - a month after the pair launched their label, Once Upon a Run, which will showcase at the invitation-only event.

"The brunch is all about inspiring women to achieve success and happiness through living an active lifestyle and that's exactly what Once Upon a Run is about," Brown said.

"Living a balanced life is absolutely essential to being able to do everything that I want to do, so making sure I do have a holistic approach to my day-to-day activities - from getting enough rest to doing enough exercise - is absolutely critical."

The brunch, at Clarko Reserve on *Trigg *beach, will jointly celebrate International Women's Day and Inspire Women's second birthday,. There will be talks from Commonwealth Games pole vaulter *Amanda Bisk *, *WA *Weekender presenter and Peachy Clean organic online skincare store owner *Haley Thompson *, Something Borrowed boutique owner *Mia Theodoropoulos *and longtime Inspire Women's Health and Fitness client *Stacey Price *.

"We are a community of women, we empower each other to live an active and healthy lifestyle," the group fitness company's founder and owner *Olivia Del Borrello *said.

"Girls have come to us where their doctor has said 'You have anxiety and depression and you have to either go on medication or start getting active', and we've had girls within four weeks completely drop their meds and not even need them because they've seen the benefits of eating right, and the exercises, (and getting rid of) the chemicals."

Del Borrello grew the business from its origins in *Mullaloo * to four outdoor locations, after seeing the way her clients bonded in the women-only training sessions. "It was really touching to see a group of women coming together to empower each other and that's why I wanted to replicate it across WA," she said.
