Marsala is the 2015 Pantone colour of the year

The Pantone colour of the year has been announced, with the colour experts naming the earthy, reddish-brown Marsala the shade of 2015.
"Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal," Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute, said. "This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."
In making its annual announcement, the global colour authority looks to the worlds of fashion, entertainment, art, travel, technology and an array of other industries, with the chosen hue influencing everything from interior design to packaging.
