Picture: Cat Haven

To celebrate the first-ever dedicated pets show, Habitat and the Perth Pet Expo are looking for the State's cutest animal companions.

Readers have the chance to share in more than $9000 worth of prizes, including a session with pet photographer Studio Noah valued at more than $1200.

Whether furry, feathered or scaly, the competition is open to all creatures great and small, with categories for dogs, cats and all household pets.

The winners will be determined by a judging panel including animal behaviour expert Kate Lindsey, Studio Noah's Brenda McAuliffe-Poznik, Brian Edwards from Australian National Cats, Habitat editor Cy Clayton, and Kasia McNaught of Expo organiser Momentum Forum Events.

PRIZES

The three category winners will each receive an on-location photo shoot with Studio Noah, plus a $1000 credit to put towards the purchase of prints. The prize also includes a $300 voucher from City Farmers.

Ten runners-up will receive a $460 Studio Noah voucher (which includes one session plus a 25x20cm print) and a $30 City Farmers voucher.
