May the 4 Pines be with you!

The Manly brewery has channelled a bit of Darth Vader in their new special release Keller (Cellar) Door beer.

4 Pines Brewing Co. are regular seasonal producers and their latest special offering focuses on the dark side.

There is even a quote from the black lord of Star Wars on the label.

The crew at 4 Pines wanted its Wintertide Small Batch Series to celebrate the dark beers that come out at this time of the year.

Their Amber Mosaic is one of those brews that would be enjoyable to consume on a cold night.

The drink is a tribute to the Mosaic hop and its effect on the drop can be detected from the opening sniff. It packs a sweet hoppy punch.

There is the floral and citrus in the first taste but there is also toast, toffee, even an earthy sensation. Yet it is the fruity edge that has the most effect.

Mid-way through the Amber Mosaic offers some mild bitterness and some of the citrus shines at the end.

While it is classified as an Amber beer, the look in the glass is more red and it produces a strong foamy head.

4 Pines have done well to balance this beer because there is a lot going on in the mix. However, the result is a highly enjoyable beer that is quite sessionable. It comes in 500ml bottles which allow sharing.
