Model Andrej Pejic says his main love is politics.

The 21-year-old is renowned for his androgynous look and regularly walks the catwalks during the women's shows - even donning a wedding dress for Jean Paul Gaultier.

Aside from fashion, Pejic has other interests too.

"My first passion is politics," he told

"People would be surprised by me if they knew I was humble."

Bosnian-Australian star Pejic also called Donatella Versace his "biggest inspiration" and the late Alexander McQueen his favourite designer.

He is determined to rise to the top of his profession and admits this drive means he gets anxious before strutting down the catwalk.

"When I'm nervous I can't eat or sleep," he said.

Pejic was also quizzed about the job he's enjoyed the most.

"When I was 12 I thought I wanted to be a witch," he laughed.

"My most exciting job to date [was] cleaning a toilet in a strip club."
