Times changing for troubled Tarvydas
A Ruth Tarvydas design set to feature next year.

After a tumultuous 12 months, Perth fashion designer Ruth Tarvydas will farewell 2012 on a high.

Just two months after having to close her King Street boutique because of financial problems, Tarvydas is preparing to throw a lavish opening night party to announce her arrival in Claremont.

Tarvydas has been offered a store in the Times Square development, courtesy of businessman John Bond, and will open the doors of the new boutique to her loyal followers and VIP guests with an exclusive launch party on December 18.

Already confirmed to fly in is former Underbelly actress Natasha Leigh who is starring in British medical drama television series Holby City.

All the action from the launch will be captured on camera for the ABC’s documentary Boom Town, which has been following Tarvydas for the past seven months during all the highs and lows and will be broadcast after March.
Despite all the financial drama, life goes on for Tarvydas, who recently dressed former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell in one of her designs which was photographed by celebrity snapper Joseph Sinclair in London.

Currently, Tarvydas is working on her 2013 autumn- winter collection.

AAA was given a sneak peak at the direction of the edgy new collection, which is (being photographed by Aaron McPolin.
