Pingelly girl turned international model Sarah Pauley could have strutted on the runway at London Fashion Week but turned it down for the Perth Fashion Festival.

The face of PFF in 2010, she will help close the festival tonight after a week of tweeting the highlights for The West Australian.

Pauley, 18, will be in a stunning Ae'lkemi creation for Giving Back is the New Black and said she was itching to get on the catwalk.

"I'm so excited to see what Alvin Fernandez has come up with," she said.

"I get so jealous now when I see the girls on stage, I want to be having the fun backstage. It's such an adrenaline rush."

Pauley now lives in Sydney but often works overseas. She also revealed a special reason to return home - for her family to meet musician boyfriend Hein Livingstone.

"They all came to the airport, my mum, my grandma, my aunty, so he's stuck with me now," she said.

Despite being a country girl, Pauley has fallen in love with Sydney but misses her family in WA.

Pauley, who is with Chic Management, landed roles in the David Jones and Myer spring-summer launches and for Australian Fashion Week next year.

She then hopes to do the London shows she turned down this year.

"It was nice to get the offer, but I chose Perth," she said.

Giving Back is the New Black, presented by The West Australian, tonight will feature outfits from 16 of WA's top designers.
