After a three-year hiatus, much-loved WA brand Morrison returned to the Perth Fashion Festival tonight with a breathtaking show.

The Fremantle-based label opened Fashion Paramount at the WA Museum's Hacket Hall in front of a sell-out crowd, including X Factor judge Mel B, who flew in this morning with husband Stephen Belafonte for her second PFF.

Mel B was dressed in a fluorescent-green top from local label Zhivago.

Husband-and-wife team Kylie Radford and Richard Poulson are celebrating 10 years in the industry, and to mark the occasion Radford's collection was fittingly titled Retrospect.

She stayed true to the sleek, classic form that has won her legions of fans, while also playing with a pop of colour and a splash of digital print.

The stunning Hackett Hall was the perfect setting for the event, with guests seated in three tiers around an L-shaped runway.

The collection featured blocks of solo colour, including black, white, cobalt blue and a bright-green leaf print, which opened the show.

Structured dresses and suits featuring peplum waists mixed with stunning flowing gowns and pants, draped dresses, tulip skirts and leather pieces.

Guests included Bree Maddox, Premier Colin Barnett and wife Lyn - wearing Morrison - and designers Wayne Cooper and Aurelio Costarella.

Model Sarah Pauley, who was tweeting for The West Australian, said the designs were stunning.

The show also featured a model with a guide dog in a first for PFF.

The crowd is now gearing up for Designer Capsule #1, which will be held later tonight.

Speaking to The West Australian last week as they prepared for the show, Radford said she had enjoyed reflecting on past successes as she created the collection.

"I've been flicking through books from eight years ago, six years ago, looking at the silhouettes and we've used some of the same patterns," she said.

"It's incredible how you can have a brand that actually evolves over time and still looks and feels the same."

The couple had another reason to celebrate tonight, having recently secured themselves an agent in the United States.
