This year, Perth Fashion Festival fashion director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan gives Access All Areas readers an exclusive glimpse of the action that unfolds behind the scenes in her daily festival diary.
While festival week may seem wildly glamorous and fun, it is seriously hard work and we spend the week running on pure adrenaline.
I rise at 6am and immediately reply to dozens of emails. Then it's mayhem as I get my kids ready, begging my husband to drop them at school (more like demanding, really) - after all, it's festival week.
I spend most of the day in meetings with designers and event organisers before hanging out with my kids after school (which really involves a big kiss and a 'Hi darlings how are you, I'll fix you something to eat then I must finish this email'.).
During the festival, I'm literally running from show to show to see our fantastic designers, catching up with sponsors and hosting our media and guests.
In the past few months, I've worked around the clock with our team, designers, retailers and stylists to organise this year's 14th PFF. I've seen loads of gorgeous collections and this week I'll be wearing a few of my favourites.
What you see each night on the catwalk comes from the tonnes of energy and resources that go into styling and prepping a runway show, whereas I've put my wardrobe together on the hop with the help of some generous stockists, retailers and designers.
When I walked into Adam Heath (Claremont store), I had 15 minutes to pick an outfit and, thanks to the lovely Judy, they were able to find the most incredible dress for me.
The colour was strong and bold but the dress is still elegant and understated. I didn't think I was going to be able to pull it off, given my height is not very "runway", but when I tried it on, I was pleasantly surprised. I teamed it with sky-high patent heels and my Louis Vuitton clutch - while praying I was pulling off a red-carpet look.
