Mash is always a great accompaniment. Be adventurous and mix and match your favourite vegetables in season.

RECIPE: Chunky Mash
Serves 6

4 big parsnips, peeled and cut into chunks
4 big carrots, peeled, cut into chunks
1 big celeriac, peeled, cut into chunks
2 garlic cloves, peeled
juice half lemon
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp pouring cream
half tsp grated nutmeg
pinch sea salt
grind black pepper

Place all the vegetables in a pot of cold salted water with lemon juice. Bring to the boil and cook until tender. Mash with butter, cream and seasoning. Leave slightly chunky.
