Empire Of The Sun looks set for ARIAs domination after picking up their first three awards for the hit album, Walking On A Dream.
The electro pop group took out the trophies for best cover art, best video, and producer of the year, when the 2009 ARIA Artisan and Fine Arts Awards were handed out in Sydney on Tuesday.
Frontman Luke Steele was not on hand to accept the awards, but accepted through manager Pete Lusty.
"In the always colourful words of Luke Steele - 'This record production was like quad chemistry ... four scientists, one microscope, one formula'," Lusty said.
"There are a lot of other Empirians who deserve a mention, but with luck, Luke will get to thank them in person at the ARIA Awards night."
DJ Debris from Hilltop Hoods claimed the award for engineer of the year for the group's album State Of The Art.
Among the fine arts categories, Katie Noonan received the award for best jazz album for Blackbird, and the Balibo soundtrack was named best original soundtrack/cast/show album.
The main ARIA Awards will be handed out on November 26 at Acer Arena in Sydney, hosted by Gyton Grantley and Kate Ritchie.
