Intruders set fire to several cars at a St James car yard in the early hours of this morning, causing $150,000 damage.
A police spokesman said offenders broke into John Hughes' caryard on Albany Highway by jumping a fence into an area containing 50 new and used cars about 1am.
The spokesman said the offenders used a jack to remove seven wheels from cars, before setting fire to cars including, a Ford turbo, Honda sedan and Ford Ranger utility.
The fire spread to an office causing extensive damage.
The arson squad is investigating.
Labor has promised a non-stop train service to Bunbury and to revive plans for a fast train for the city.
